Introduction

The Counter Strike Confederation (“CSC” or “the league”) is a different kind of Counter Strike 2 experience: a persistent and evolving league designed to closely resemble and operate like a professional sports league, with General Managers who draft players, make trades, set rosters, and compete in both a regular season and playoff bracket. Our ultimate goal is to create a friendly environment for people to play competitive, team-based Counter Strike, regardless of their skill level.

As of right now there are six skill tiers within the league: Premier, Elite, Challenger, Contender, Prospect, and Recruit. CSC has players from FACEIT level 1 all the way to level 10, so CSC has tiers for all different skill levels. FACEIT helps CSC initially place new DEs, and a player’s combine performance will further inform their placement for the season. Players aren't just placed off their current FACEIT elo as pug skill ≠ team skill. Further, the CSC player distribution changes over seasons, so despite any rough estimates of where someone may be initially placed, there is no set FACEIT level restriction for any tiers in CSC.

1.1 What Are the Requirements to Join?

  • 1.1.1 Be sportsmanlike, kind, and polite. Be mature, regardless of your age. Respect everyone, whether they are your teammates or your rivals. Be aware that your sense of humor may not be universally shared, and words and actions that may be meaningless to you could be devastating to another.

  • 1.1.2 Joining the CSC Discord is required.

    • 1.1.2.1 Leaving the CSC Discord is a one season ban from any events you are in, except in cases of hacked accounts or certain other issues. If you leave more than 75% into the season, you will be banned for the following season as well.
  • 1.1.3 Sign up for CSC through the indicated signup form before the close of the signup period each season. Be sure to fully and honestly fill out the form, or you may be rejected without warning.

  • 1.1.4 To be eligible to play or be drafted after signing up, you must satisfy requirements defined by the Numbers Committee. These requirements are put out each season and include a combination of minimum FACEIT games played, minimum combine games played, and minimum total games played. These requirements are subject to the discretion of the Numbers Committee and may vary based on your status in the league or other extenuating circumstances. There will be a published deadline by which you need to complete these requirements or be ineligible to play and/or go through the draft.

  • 1.1.5 These requirements are perpetual and ongoing. If you are discovered to have violated one of them, you may be removed from the league.
